Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a non-invasive treatment that uses specialised tools to help your body heal and move better.
During an IASTM session, stainless steel instruments are used to gently glide, scrape, and mobilize soft tissues—like muscles, tendons, and fascia—that are tight or restricted. This technique offers a mechanical advantage over hands-only massage, allowing for more targeted pressure and deeper tissue penetration.
Enhances Joint Mobility: It increases how far a joint can move by physically breaking down tight soft tissues and scar tissue that restrict normal movement.

Reduces Pain: The targeted pressure from the instruments can modulate the nervous system, leading to a direct and significant reduction in chronic or persistent pain, especially in conditions like tendonitis.
Promotes Tissue Healing: The mechanical pressure applied by the tools creates a controlled inflammatory response (microtrauma). This "restarts" the healing cycle, stimulating the production of new, properly aligned collagen to replace old scar tissue.
